2020 will mark ten years at the heart of the Scottish Traditional music scene for the folk supergroup. Having been in high demand as a live act across the world with shows in over 30 countries, Mànran are looking forward to playing to Oban audiences in January.

As mentioned Mànran will celebrate their anniversary year with the unveiling of two new band members in the shape of Gaelic songstress Kim Carnie and guitar-maestro Aidan Moodie. This exciting new line-up will be unveiled for the first time during their much-anticipated festive tour.

Joining Mànran for this unmissable night of music will be long-time friend of the band the Fergie MacDonald Big Band

As they look forward to packed year with the launch of a celebratory festival Mànran: 10 by the Ben in April 2020, the release of their fourth studio album, and two new members set to join the band in January 2020, Mànran are gearing up for a festive season of fantastic live shows before embarking on what looks set to be their busiest year yet.

Mànran’s accordion player and founding member Gary Innes, who also presents BBC Radio Scotland’s longest-running radio show ‘Take The Floor’, said: “We’re really looking forward to playing Oban and to see fans old and new at the Corran Halls join us for a fantastic night of live music during the festive period. It’s been an amazing couple of years for the band and we can’t wait to celebrate our 10th year in style in 2020.”

Internationally recognised as one of the most iconic and respected Scottish bands on the road today, the seven-piece show no signs of slowing down as they continue to push boundaries and explore new musical and geographical territory each year, bringing their uplifting and unique live performances to stages across the world.
