Summertime in Oban is packed with fun activities for the kids, so whether you are a local or just visiting the area, there is always something to keep everyone busy. In addition to regular events such as Piping at the Castle on Sundays at 2pm at Dunollie Castle, July’s calendar is full, so check out these exciting events that the whole family will love!
What: Master Builders Lego and Creative Construction Club

What: Seashore Safari- Hunt for seaweeds, limpets, barnacles, periwinkles, crabs and more. Then come back into the centre and look at your discoveries up close under the microscope. Children of primary age welcome when accompanied by an adult. Max 12 children.
When: 17 July, 2pm-3pm
Where: Ocean Explorer Centre, Dunstaffnage, Dunbeg
Suggested donation of £2 per child to cover costs of activity.

What: Kilbride Family Open Day-Longbow archery, falconry and other fun activities for the kids, plus free tours of Historic Kilbride and tea and cakes for the grown ups.
When: 21 July, 2pm-5pm
Where: Lerags, three miles south of Oban on the Lochgilphead road
