Meg’s Scottish Kitchen is a chef-led food business based in Dalavich, on the shores of beautiful Loch Awe. We specialise in homemade Heat & Eat meals, holiday-let catering, breakfast and picnic hampers, grazing boards and artisan food products—all designed to make eating well during your stay simple.

Whether you are arriving at your holiday cottage after a long journey, returning from a day exploring Argyll or planning a relaxed evening beside the loch, our freshly prepared meals allow you to enjoy proper, home-cooked food without spending your holiday in the kitchen.

Every dish is prepared in small batches by classically trained chef, cookbook author and cookery teacher Meg Shead, drawing on more than 30 years of professional experience. The menu brings together comforting family favourites, fragrant homemade curries, seasonal soups, savoury sides and indulgent puddings. Vegetarian and plant-based choices are also available.

Our meals are freshly prepared before being frozen at their best, with clear and straightforward heating instructions. Most can be cooked directly from frozen, making them particularly convenient for self-catering holidays. Complete your supper with rice, naan bread, seasonal vegetables, homemade sauces or one of our puddings.

Holiday guests can also order breakfast hampers, picnic hampers and generous grazing boards. These are ideal for slow mornings, days out exploring the glens and lochside, or relaxed celebrations with family and friends.

Alongside our prepared food, you will find a growing collection of baking mixes, seasoning blends, salad dressings, preserves and food gifts, all developed to help you enjoy delicious food with ease.

Orders can be placed online at any time for collection from Meg’s Scottish Kitchen HQ in Dalavich. Local delivery is also available within Dalavich during our evening delivery hours. As everything is made in small batches and some items require advance preparation, ordering ahead is recommended.
