We were delighted to win the award for the Best Gastropub in Scotland at the Scottish Food Awards 2023, recognised again as the Central Gastro pub of the Year 2024 and Best Gastropub in Scotland 2025 Well deserved tributes to our talented chefs who work hard to create dishes using the best seasonal local produce. It’s not all steak pies and fish and chips! We’ve branched out the past few years and aim to offer something different from the norm.
Seafood is served when available and fresh. Sunday roast supplied by our local butcher, is a feature during the colder seasons. We always have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options for our customers to choose and will always seek to meet any dietary requirements where we can.

Using suppliers John Vallance – Fishmonger, Inverawe – Smokehouse, Wellocks – Premier Food Service, Braehead Foods, and JM Breckenridge Oban greengrocer and a host of Independents like Silver Seafood Ballachulish, Puddledub Farm and Argyll Mushrooms Connel for seasonal produce.
