Oban Winter Festival 2020 Cancelled

Covid update:

Sadly what would have been Oban’s 10th winter festival has been cancelled due to Covid 19. The organising committee have promised that the event will be back in 2021 so keep checking back for further details

Over the years, Oban Winter Festival has grown to accommodate an extensive programme of events aimed at people of all ages. It is a ten day celebration of Oban's unique culture and community with street parades, reindeer, international and local performing acts, fire art, pipers, lantern parades and family fun.

Festival action takes place in and around town and getting from place to place is very easy. Discover the great shopping, bars and restaurants that make this town tick, take a tour of the local distillery and sample local malts, or enjoy a relaxing coffee in one of our many cafes while soaking up the beautiful view of the bay.

We can provide all manner of accommodation options for your stay here, from apartments in the town centre to hotels and intimate bed and breakfasts, and we can recommend some of the finest food and wine establishments that this town boasts - so why not come and join the biggest winter party in the West?

After the success last year of the light festival in Glencruitten woods, Winter Woods is back this year from 15-17 November with transport provided from Oban. The enchanting walled garden and grounds of Glencruitten will be beautifully lit so come and join us for a night time walking event with stories, performances, challenges, light show and crafts.
