Back to Nature — Highland Immersion
Back to Nature is a week-long cultural immersion and wellness retreat welcoming a small group of international visitors to experience the landscape, heritage, and living traditions of the Scottish Highlands in Argyll.
The retreat is co-hosted by Colin MacLeod, a Celtic fiddler and native Highlander returning home to Argyll, and Michele Dante of Inner Vision Yoga, whose teaching weaves movement and mindfulness into the rhythms of the Highland landscape.
Each day begins and closes with yoga on the shores of Loch Awe. Between sessions, the group ventures deep into the heart of Argyll — visiting the ancient standing stones and cairns of Kilmartin Glen, one of the greatest concentrations of prehistoric monuments in Scotland, and making a pilgrimage by ferry to the Isle of Iona, sacred ground at the heart of Celtic Christianity.
The group attends a traditional Highland Games and spends time exploring the historic landscapes of Clan Campbell country in Argyll. An evening Ceilidh brings the week together with traditional Celtic music, storytelling, and dancing led by Colin MacLeod on fiddle.
The retreat is suitable for all levels of experience — no prior knowledge of yoga or Scottish history is required. It is open to adults of all ages and designed to be unhurried, immersive, and deeply personal. Places are strictly limited to ensure an intimate experience.
