Anemara & Finlay Wells: One-off Night of Modern Folk & Acoustic Music
From intimate acoustic landscapes to an exhilarating transatlantic folk dance, this is a one-off night of modern folk and acoustic music that journeys far and wide.
Anemara are an international folk quartet formed in Glasgow in 2018, where Scandinavian, Celtic and North American traditions meet. Featuring two fiddles, cello, harp, vocals and step dance, their music is rhythmically charged, melodically captivating and alive with energy. As their notes swirl across the Atlantic, traditions collide in a soundscape that is both thoughtful and joyously dance-driven.
Opening the night is Finlay Wells, award-winning Scottish musician, composer and producer. With over 30 years of touring and recording experience, Finlay brings a powerful solo guitar and vocal performance rooted in original songwriting, rich acoustic textures and subtle ambient sound design. Describing his work as “adventures and responses through acoustic guitar and sound design,” he’ll share new material ahead of a 2026 release alongside highlights from his acclaimed solo and collaborative back catalogue.
Together, Finlay Wells and Anemara promise a night of deep listening, soaring melodies and irresistible rhythm — music that moves the heart, the mind and the feet.
Don’t miss this special evening of contemporary folk in an intimate village hall setting.
