OOH LA LA! | Rockfield x The Wee Wine Shop Join us on Saturday 14th June for a very special collaboration - we're bringing you a trs bon mix of French wine, cheese, and cinema in collaboration with The Wee Wine Shop! Cheese and Wine Tasting | 18:00 - 19:30 Join Jean-Pierre and Simone from The Wee Wine Shop as they guide you through a very special tasting experience. You'll sit round tables in the Rockfield Bistro, sampling 3 different wines (1 red, 1 white, and 1 rose) and 3 delicious cheeses (1 soft, 1 hard, and 1 blue) served with the flair and fun that this wonderful duo are known for! French Cinema - Delicatessen | 19:30 - 21:30 The Bistro will become a wine-bar / cinema at 19:30, when we'll screen the 1991 post-apocalyptic futuristic dark comedy classic that is 'Delicatessen'! Centered on a post-apocalyptic society where food is scarce and used as currency. In an apartment building with a delicatessen on the ground floor. The owner of the eatery also owns the apartment building and is in need of a new maintenance man since the prior one "mysteriously" disappeared. A former clown applies for the job and the butcher's intent is to have him work for as little as possible. The clown and butcher's daughter fall in love and she tries to foil her father's plans by contacting the "troglodytes", a grain eating sub-group of society who live entirely underground (Run time@ 1hr 39 mins).
