Join our STGA trained and qualified guides on a walking tour around Oban. Learn about the town's history and heritage, the Victorian entrepeneurs who shaped the town, Oban's stone age past and the myths and legends of ancient Argyll.
Our fully insured guides leave from outside the VisitScotland icentre near North Pier. Look out for our sign. Tickets can be purchased online or from the ticket desk on the day. Join our local guides on a fun and fact filled stroll around the town taking in Oban's MUST SEE sights including two Cathedrals, the distillery, Dunolle, the dog stone and war memorial. If you wish we can climb Jacob's Ladder to McCaig's Tower or take the ferry to Kerrer for a walk to Gylen Castle.
Tours generally last around 90 minutes and depart at 10am and 2pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Friday we offer a 2pm tour but other times and days can be booked by arrangement for a minimum group size of 4 adults.
We can also offer THEMED walks too, for example the Rockfield Built Heritage Trail which starts and finishes at the Rockfield Centre.
