Rockfield Centre Launches Community Shares

Jul 31, 2018

By Rhona Dougall

The Rockfield Centre has been buzzing for the last six weeks, and for good reason.

On 16th June, Oban Communities Trust, the body that runs the Centre, launched a community share offer, giving people the chance to invest in this fantastic project.

Since then, the first target has been smashed with locals and those from further afield investing an amazing £140,000. The offer has now been extended until 23rd August, so potential investors have some extra time to buy shares and help realise this exciting new development for Oban.

The Rockfield Centre aims to be a cultural community hub for Oban, bringing lots of exciting opportunities for locals and visitors alike under its four themes: arts & culture; history & heritage; education & enterprise; and community wellbeing. By providing all-weather facilities, a much-needed performance and exhibition venue, welcoming community meeting spaces and much, much more, The Rockfield Centre will also enhance Oban’s offer to tourists and boost the local economy.

So don’t delay - buy your shares today!
