Seafood Capital of Scotland

Oban Morsels – four video ‘tasters’ to whet your appetite for Oban and Lorn’s Food and Drink

Oban Morsels - the 'grand platter'

With a little help from VisitScotland's Food and Drink Growth Fund, OLTA commissioned a series of videos to showcase the superb produce from our area. The first video is narrated and provides an overview of food and drink in Oban and Lorn.

Seafood, Smoked and Fresh Fish

The harbour town of Oban is known as the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland' - this short video gives you a flavour of what's on offer locally.

Hill Lamb, Beef, Pork and Wild Venison

Never far from the sea, the hills and glens surrounding Oban are perfect for raising hill lamb and quality beef. We may be Seafood Capital of Scotland but we also offer plenty for meat lovers too!

Whisky and Chocolate

The town of Oban grew up around its distillery and its tall chimney is a useful landmark just beneath McCaig's Tower. Oban Malt is popular all over the world - and the locals will enjoy a wee dram with a variety of foods - including shellfish!

Come and try Oban’s Food and Drink for yourself and please feel free to share these Oban Morsels with your friends!
