Melfort Village
Melfort Village has 32 luxurious cottages nestled in the hills and oak woods at the head of Loch Melfort, amidst some of the most beautiful scenery on the West Coast of Scotland. Peace and tranquillity is the order of the day - even in the busy summer months!
All cottages are have beautifully furnished rooms, comfortable beds and lovely views. All are equipped with colour TV/DVD/Freeview, fridge, dishwasher, oven & hob, microwave.
The stone-built cottages within the Inner Village originally formed part of an old Gunpowder Works and sleep between two and ten guests. The comfortable furnishings and decor are in modern farmhouse style with either open fires or wood-burning stove. Each cottage has access to an area of garden ground or a private balcony.
The Walled Garden cottages form a crescent-shaped Mews within the walls of the original Estate Garden, a 5 minute walk from the Inner Village. Sleeping up to six guests, they have an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area, 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Each has a private patio overlooking the main gardens.
Our leisure facilities are second to none in this area. You can get fit or in our 11m indoor swimming pool and gym, luxuriate in the hot tub and sauna and have some fun using the games and snooker rooms, children's playroom, tennis court, putting green and playground. More outdoor pursuits include short and long ealking trails, small trout loch and bike hire. Badminton and squash court available locally.
Enjoy a drink or a meal in our bar/restaurant, The Shower of Herring Inn, serving food and drink throughout the day. Monday Music Nights are very popular with guests and locals alike with a special two course meal deal!
