Advertising/Subscription Information
The huge increase in visitor numbers to our site, thanks largely to the web cam, has made advertising on the OLTA web site one of the most cost effective ways of reaching a vast audience. The new database driven advertising will give members easy access to their data via a unique user name and password.
This means changes can be carried out to your ad via your own PC. It also introduces a much fairer advertising system as, previously, accommodation entries were listed alphabetically, which obviously favoured some businesses and disadvantaged others. The new database produces random search results.
If you want to guarantee your business is seen within the first five entries every time you can opt for a 'High Five' directory listing or indeed invest that little bit more and take up one of the new advertising opportunities that we are now rolling out. |

Enhanced 'High Five' Directory Listing
An enhanced directory listing will include a 'thumbnail' picture or graphic and will appear in the top 5 entries of the directory search results for the selected category. All other directory listings are random and will change every time the directory is accessed. Each directory listing, whether enhanced or not, will feature a direct click through link to the standard advertising page.
Advertising Banners
Advertising banners are now available on all index pages and design costs are absorbed by OLTA for all annual contracts. The Places to Stay index page is the portal page for hotels, self catering, bed and breakfast, guest houses, camping, etc, hence its premium rate compared to other index page banners. Directory banners within each indexed sector are available from £250 per year depending on the average number of page impressions per month.
Oban Webcam
You can also have the famous Oban Webcam on your own website, thus generating extra interest and extra traffic. The cost of this is £35. Please contact us for more details.
