Oban Passport
Your Passport To Perfect Seafood!
Oban is rightly regarded as the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’. The town has a long association with the sea and the area is world renowned as a major producer of oysters and mussels. The number of award winning restaurants in this small coastal resort may surprise visitors but with such a wealth of local produce it makes perfect sense.

The Oban Passport was launched last year at Oban's first ever Festival of the Sea – a celebration of ‘Argyll’s dazzling marine environment’. The seafood focused passport has been offered free to visitors and included information on Oban’s booming aquaculture industry and the town’s fishing heritage along with suggested itineraries to keep you busy between meals! The 10 page guide dedicated to local restaurants specialising in fresh local seafood and shellfish has been particularly popular as visitors explored the very different dining experiences on offer - from old style country house charm to contemporary coastal chic.

However, the current Oban Passport promotion is coming to an end and in true Oban fashion we are going out with a BANG! The final draw from our email mailing list will be made in January 2012 and the lucky winner will be invited to build a holiday itinerary tailored to suit their own wants and needs!
To enter for the draw all you need to do is to complete the registration form on the Oban Passport website, or visit the competition page on this website. If your email is the one that is selected at random we will then ask you one simple question and if you get the answer right you win a £500 free holiday in Oban and Lorn.
The question: What Birthday did Oban celebrate in 2011?
A clue: the answer can be found within this very website!
